Our website launched in the middle of 2015 and quickly our first customers began using our service. Our first customers helped us grow quickly by spreading the word about us. And before our first launch, and helped by the word of mouth and marketing campaigns.
At Rich Office Pte Ltd (ROPL) we care about our customer’s satisfaction. We have chosen to move into a comparatively much larger facility which ensures we have the space to continue to grow into the future without having to change our customer’s addresses. We try very hard and have established systems and process to make sure that our customers’ mails are handled properly, carefully and efficiently. We like to say that while we are probably not the cheapest to forward your mails, we are certainly the best in getting your mails to you in the manner you expect.
ROPL expired to be a market leader in the then emerging future work platform. Many have foreseen the workplace will be radically different in the near future, are you ready? Information technology has turned the assumptions of where work happens and the role of buildings inside out. Innovative business leaders have already recognized that technology allows their staffs to be mobile, to work with colleagues remotely and across time zones, and to get work done in a variety of settings both inside and outside of the traditional office. These businesses have saved money, increased work flexibility, and made the best use of their real estate. And these new flexible workplaces are also providing gains in worker productivity.
In this respect, we are committed to be innovative in creating new platform and environment in serving all our entrepreneurs better. We are too inspired by how the virtual platforms like Uber and Upwork change the way work gets done. The online virtual “work intermediation platforms” have begun to have very significant and visible impacts throughout the economy and how consumer travel and earn their living. That is, enabling new ways of arranging work and conducting it and exposes consumers to more choices and reach out to them easily via computer or mobile phone. When work requirements and worker capability/availability are digitized, then work arrangements can be arranged and structured across a on line network via cloud. We are going from a place where work arrangements established between workers, businesses and consumers were barely intermediated by technology to one where technology supports the intermediation, often 100% with end-to-end-platforms like Upwork and Uber. In other words, technology is more and more the “digital middleman in the cloud” that can reshape and expand how work can be arranged and structured. An Uber driver, in any location, in any Uber, city can choose to work any number of hours any day of the week, even do one ride a day and doesn’t have to invoice anyone, etc. Similarly, one can be a web developer and other virtual services provider anywhere in the world arranging and performing work through an Upwork, or one can be a scientific expert participating in a crowd sourced problem-solution challenge.
By promoting a work life balance culture and environment in the workplace, employers can improve their ability to attract and retain employees, in turn enriching our health and well being and building stronger communities. In this respect, ROPL is committed to continue to pursue in achieving a more flexible working arrangement or platform that allow more people “coming to work” via platforms will mitigate a lot of stress out of them. There are enormous implications for the workplace that businesses are going to have to adapt to. The workplace today is structured to engage with individual workers, whether “permanent” or temporary contract workers who actually “come to work” or sometimes work remotely or alternatively to contract for labor-based projects or services. Platforms now introduce a whole broad range of new ways in which talent, expertise, skills, capabilities, etc., can be channeled into and applied in work situations in a business. What we’ve heard much about this year, while this creates new options to source badly needed talent and skills, it also poses a large set of new challenges like how to structure and manage the procurement and utilization of these new forms of work, how to deal with compliance and classification risks etc. It will take some time for it happen, but I think well in near future, the workplace as we know it today will be completely transformed.
The future of ROPL continues the same way we started, our mission remains the same, and we are committed to bringing you closer to the “Virtual” work place!
